How can Whitewheat® have the nutritional benefits of wheat bread but still be white?

Whitewheat® bread is made with special enriched wheat flour and is fortified with vitamins, calcium and iron.

If Whitewheat® contains no whole wheat flour, where does the fiber come from?

Two slices of Whitewheat® contain 5 grams of fiber, more than any other similar bread on the market. We add fiber to our recipe to boost the fiber content. To find out why fiber is important to health, visit our Nutrition Center.

How long has Whitewheat® been on the market?

We introduced Whitewheat® in 1991.                                                                     

If Whitewheat® products are not sold in my area, may I purchase them directly from the company?

Because of the freshness and softness of our breads, we do not ship them to other parts of the country. The good news is that we are expanding our distribution into new markets every year. Keep checking your supermarket bread aisle.

How does Whitewheat® stay fresh without preservatives?

We do not use artificial preservatives in Whitewheat®, but we do use natural preservatives, such as vinegar and cultured whey. These ingredients are only minimally processed and are non-chemical.
